I was born in Nurnberg, Germany in 1968. My mother is a naturalized US citizen (was German) and my father, a US Army serviceman.
I traveled throughout the country and Germany, until my parents settled in central Pennsylvania, when my dad retired from Fort Indiantown Gap.
I graduated from Central Dauphin High School in 1986, I was a member of the National Honor Society. I graduated from Penn State in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science, and was commissioned in the US Army Reserve as a 2nd Lt.
My first job after college was a counselor in a maximum security juvenile facility in Loysville. I then transferred to the Office of Fraud and Abuse, as a Claims Investigation Agent for the Department of Public Welfare. I worked there until 1998.
I then began my career as a financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors (who then became Ameriprise). I enjoy helping people pursue their goals. The counselor side of me likes to help solve a person's financial needs. Each person has their own specific goals and resources; it's my job to see if we can align them to help someone realize these dreams. I moved to Cetera Advisor Networks in April of 2014. I found the independent platform allowed me more freedom and flexibility to help my clients in on an unbiased platform.
I am an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC). I work with clients of any age, acting as a financial coach with experience. I believe that you should receive value from this relationship, and strive to keep my costs low so that I can keep my fees reasonable.
I have been married since 1991 to my wife, Lisa. We have 2 children. Justen graduated from Lock Haven in May 2015. He is currently working as a licensed CDL driver for Pepsi. Jessyca graduated from Alvernia in 2021 with a Bachelor Degree in AMH (Addictions & Mental Health). She just finished her first year in the Master's Program at Kutztown, where she is working to obtain her MSW (Master of Social Work). We are members of the Parish of St. Catherine Laboure on Derry Street. I coached basketball for both of my children for 8 years (I retired when my youngest, stopped playing in 8th grade).
I love cooking, football, and the mountains.
